Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Construction Buddy mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Construction Buddy helps users capture construction expenses by voice or manual review, organize them by site, maintain expense history, and synchronize approved records with Google Sheets. Features may change as the Service develops.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering an agreement. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, maintaining control of your Google account and devices, and all activity performed through your account.

3. Review and accuracy

Speech recognition and automated extraction can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing payee, amount, date, site, notes, and all other information before submitting an expense. Construction Buddy is a record-keeping aid and is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.

4. Your data and permissions

You retain your rights in the information you submit. You grant us permission to process that information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

When you connect Google Sheets, you authorize the Service to create and manage the specific spreadsheet files used with Construction Buddy. You are responsible for access you grant directly to other spreadsheet users.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person’s rights.
• Attempt to access another organization’s data or another user’s account.
• Interfere with, probe, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls of the Service.
• Upload malicious content or use automated methods that create unreasonable load.
• Resell or misrepresent the Service without written permission.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, provider outages, network conditions, Google authorization changes, or other events may interrupt access or delay synchronization. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

7. Pilot and future paid plans

The Service may initially be offered as a limited pilot or free trial. If paid plans are introduced, pricing, billing period, taxes, renewal terms, cancellation options, and included usage will be presented before you purchase. These Terms do not authorize charges that you have not accepted.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services including Google, OpenAI, and Amazon Web Services. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, branding, software, design, and documentation—excluding user-provided content—are owned by or licensed to Construction Buddy and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended business purpose.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security risks, unlawful conduct, material violations of these Terms, or harm to the Service or other users. You may request account deletion by contacting kgupta3199@gmail.com.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that automated transcriptions, extracted fields, calculations, synchronization, or user-entered information will always be complete, accurate, or uninterrupted.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Construction Buddy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or decisions made from inaccurate records. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims and losses resulting from your unlawful use of the Service, your submitted content, or your material violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, disputes will be subject to the courts located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
